I have worked with all disciplines of horses from pleasure to World Cup level driving horses. From mini to Draft. Massage helps your horses perform at their best.
Massage reduces pain and discomfort, while allowing the horse a wider range of motion from more relaxed muscles, and improved performance. As an added benefit, massage performed prior during or after performing, helps reduce recovery time.
Knowing how tough the times are, I've rolled back my prices. Hoping to make it easier for everyone to experience the benefits of massage for their horses at a more affordable price. Due to the high price of gas and travel costs, starting October 1 the price per session will be $80.
Sessions take approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours depending on what I find, and the comfort level of the horse to massage work. Having spent my life with horses of all breeds and temperments, I work with each individual horse's needs, and temperment. Working to create an effective, calming experience for each animal.
A new addition to my work is the ancient art of Traditional Chinese Acupressure. I participated in the Equinology Equine Acupressure program in 2009. Acupressure works on the same energy meridians as Equine acupuncture. This modality helps to promote the good health and well being of your horse.
I work with Nikken Biaxial Magnets to help reduce pain and muscle tightness. I have found this form of Magnetic therapy very helpful. Most of the horses I work with enjoy the magnet work. It helps to loosen tight muscles and smooth out the muscle fibers. I use both manual and motorized handheld units. These safe and effective units were designed for human use but I have found them very effective on both dogs and horses. (My clients enjoy them as well!)
These pure and organic essential oils create a calming, healthful experience through the aroma therapy. While offering beneficial holistic muscle relaxation, helping to smooth out muscle tightness.
Having worked with many hesitant and fearful horses over the years. I always work to find what each horse is acceptable to. They each have their little quirks and I work with what is enjoyable and effect for each individual. I have worked on many rescue horses that aren't too sure about the lady coming to work on them. But I have always been allowed into their space, having had the pleasure to be a part of their growing acceptance of humans. I must say that most of my most endearing experiences in my work have been with these shy and sceptical equines.
